What is Thryv?
Thryv is a fitness tracking app designed for the Egyptian market. It lets you log workouts, track nutrition with a database of 1,000+ local Egyptian foods, monitor body progress, earn achievements, and connect with a fitness community.
Is Thryv free to use?
Yes. Thryv is free to download and use. We may introduce optional premium features in the future, but core functionality will always remain free.
What platforms is Thryv available on?
Thryv will be available on both iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). Join our waitlist to be notified when we launch.
How do I create an account?
Download the app from the App Store or Google Play, open it, and tap “Sign Up.” You'll need a valid email address and a password. During onboarding, you can optionally enter your height, weight, age, and fitness goal to personalise your experience.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
On the login screen, tap “Forgot Password” and enter the email address associated with your account. You'll receive a password reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.
How do I update my profile or personal metrics?
Navigate to Profile → Settings within the app. From there you can edit your name, email, height, weight, age, gender, and fitness goal at any time.
How do I log a workout?
Tap the + button on the home screen, select or search for exercises, and enter your sets, reps, and weight for each exercise. Your workout is saved automatically when you finish.
How does the nutrition tracker work?
Go to the Nutrition tab, tap “Add Food,” and search from our database of 1,000+ Egyptian foods. Each entry includes calories and macronutrient breakdowns (protein, carbs, fat). You can log meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.
Can I track my body measurements over time?
Yes. The Progress section lets you log weight, body fat percentage, waist circumference, and other measurements. Thryv charts your trends so you can see how your body is changing.
Is my health data safe?
Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and stored securely on Supabase cloud servers with encryption at rest. Passwords are hashed with a one-way algorithm and never stored in plaintext. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Account Management

How to Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data in two ways:

  1. In-app: Open the app and navigate to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
  2. By email: Send an email to privacy@thryv-fitness.com with the subject line “Account Deletion Request” and your registered email address.

Once processed, all your data — including workout logs, nutrition logs, body measurements, and account credentials — is permanently deleted within 30 days. Backups may retain data for up to 7 additional days before full removal.

How to Request Your Data

You have the right to request a copy of all personal data we hold about you. Email privacy@thryv-fitness.com with the subject line “Data Export Request.” We will respond within 30 days with your data in a machine-readable format.

How to Report a Problem

If you encounter a bug, crash, or unexpected behaviour, please email support@thryv-fitness.com with:

  • Your device model and operating system version
  • The version of the Thryv app you are using
  • A description of the issue and steps to reproduce it
  • Screenshots or screen recordings if possible

Troubleshooting

The app is crashing or not loading.
Try the following steps:
1. Close the app completely and reopen it.
2. Make sure you have the latest version installed from the App Store or Google Play.
3. Restart your device.
4. If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the app (your data is stored in the cloud, so you won't lose anything).
5. Contact support@thryv-fitness.com if the problem continues.
I'm not receiving the password reset email.
Check your spam or junk folder. Make sure you're entering the same email address you used to sign up. If you still don't receive it after a few minutes, contact support@thryv-fitness.com.
My workout data isn't syncing.
Make sure you have an active internet connection. The app syncs data automatically when connected. Try closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, log out and log back in to force a full sync.
The calorie or macro counts seem incorrect.
Our nutrition database is regularly updated. If you find an inaccuracy, please report it to support@thryv-fitness.com with the food item name and the values you believe are correct. We'll review and update it.

App Permissions

Thryv requests only the minimum permissions needed to function:

  • Internet access: Required to sync your data, authenticate your account, and load nutrition information.
  • Notifications (optional): Used to send workout reminders and achievement alerts. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Thryv does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, location, photos, or any other sensitive device features.
